The New Orleans Saints travel to US Bank Stadium Sunday night to take on the Minnesota Vikings in a rematch of the “Minneapolis Miracle” game from last year’s playoffs. The entire week , media coverage in the Saints locker room has surrounded the narrative of a revenge game, but the Saints have strictly denied it. The defender at the center of that play, Marcus Williams, faced a slew of such questions, but to everyone he answered, “It’s just another game.” Nobody is buying that. Earlier this week on ESPN’s NFL Live it was reported that the feeling inside the Saints’ locker room is that they won that playoff game and were robbed of their right to advance. If that’s even somewhat true Frank Ragnow Jersey White , expect a fiesty Saints team on the field tonight. New Orleans enters this game at 5-1 while the Vikings are 4-2-1; both have their eyes on a championship run. It’ll definitely be an uphill battle for the latter, however, as their team is getting hit by the injury bug pretty badly. Tonight’s inactives for the Vikings include notable names like Xavier Rhodes, Dalvin Cook, Andrew Sendejo, Anthony Barr Devon Kennard Jersey White , and Riley Reiff. If the Vikings want a chance at a win tonight, it’ll take some real stepping up from the backups for those inactives. Will the Saints come out firing? Can Marcus Williams get redemption for the Minneapolis Miracle? Will it even be a close game this time around? Let us know what you think in the comments. We’ve been doing the Song of the Game for a minute now, and I’ve got to wonder each time we put together these playlists as to just how jarring the attitude can go week-to-week once it’s all said and done. The Lions, for the past two seasons and change, have been incredibly inconsistent, unable to put together a standardized performance that we can easily quantify. The season is half done and we’re still going to be talking about how we don’t know what this team is.It’s fun Womens Theo Riddick Jersey , isn’t it? I know that you might think “fun” would be just to win all the time, and that’d be pretty neat, I suppose. But barring such a possibility, at least it’s a roller coaster and not a sand trap. Detroit Lions vs. Seattle Seahawks Song of the Game: “Special” by GarbageI thought you were specialI thought you should knowBut I’ve run out of patienceI’ve run out of commentsI’m tired of the violenceI couldn’t care lessBut you know what? I can’t fault a fan if they’re getting a little weary of the ups-and-downs. After a while some sort of picture is supposed to form of this team, and each week when you think the Lions have a run game or the ability to create pressure on a quarterback it just whispers and vanishes, like it didn’t even exist to begin with. Each time you think this team is special Womens Matthew Stafford Jersey , they remind you, very clearly, they’re nothing of the sort. What a thrill.I’d say some fans have lost patience for sure if they’re talking about trading Matthew Stafford for a handful of picks. Thankfully, I wrote about this exact scenario not long ago.Anyway, as the dek says, just be grateful I didn’t pick the Australian national anthem after what Michael Dickson did to the Lions. Oh Danny Amendola Jersey , you’d have thought I’d pick Men at Work? That song is lame. You’re lame for thinking it. Get outta here.Song of the Game is a weekly column during the season. We’ll use a song to describe our feeling or the Lions’ performance from the previous game. At the end of the year, we’ll have a complete Spotify playlist telling the story of the Lions’ 2018 season. You can check out the 2017 playlist here, and our explanations for our choices here.
